AGA cleaning in Bromley
AGAs and similar heat-storage cookers need a different approach to a standard oven. We clean the ovens, hotplate lids and enamel with care for the cast iron and finish.

Turn it off the day before
A traditional AGA holds an enormous amount of heat. It must be switched off and allowed to cool fully before cleaning — usually that means turning it off the evening before, but check your model's handbook. We'll confirm timings with you when you book.
Cast iron and enamel
AGA ovens are cast iron, and much of the carbon inside is burnt to a fine ash by the heat. The aim is to remove that residue and any baked-on spills without damaging the vitreous enamel outside, which can chip or scratch. That's why we don't use abrasive pads on enamel surfaces.
Electric and modern models
Newer electric and programmable AGAs and other heat-storage brands are cleaned on the same principles. If yours has a separate conventional oven module, we can clean that too — just mention it.
AGA cleaning questions
Do you service or repair AGAs?
No. We clean them. Burners, flues, electrics and servicing are for an AGA-approved engineer (and, for gas or oil models, an appropriately registered engineer).
How long does an AGA clean take?
Longer than a standard oven because of the number of ovens and the care needed with enamel. It's typically longer than a standard oven; we'll confirm when you book.
