Built-in combination microwaves
Many newer kitchens have a built-in combination microwave above the main oven. These get the same grease and carbon as a conventional oven when the grill or convection modes are used, so they take a little more work than a simple freestanding microwave.
What we avoid
The waveguide cover (the small panel inside the cavity wall) is delicate and should never be scrubbed or removed casually. We clean around it carefully. If it's already burnt or damaged, it should be replaced before the microwave is used.
