Oven cleaning in Bromley

Built-in, freestanding, single or double

Most Bromley kitchens have one of three set-ups: a built-in single oven under the worktop, a built-in double oven in a tall housing, or a freestanding cooker with the oven and hob in one unit. All three are cleaned in place — we don't pull built-in ovens out of their housing.

A double oven is priced as one job because both cavities, both doors and the grill are done in the same visit. If yours is a wide (90cm+) cooker with two ovens side by side, that's a range cooker clean instead.

Self-cleaning, pyrolytic and catalytic ovens

Pyrolytic ovens burn residue to ash on a high-heat cycle, but the cycle doesn't clean the door seals, the glass between panes or the racks, and a heavily soiled pyrolytic oven can smoke badly. A manual clean resets it.

Catalytic liners (the rough, speckled panels some ovens have) are designed to absorb fat and should not be scrubbed or soaked in harsh products. Tell us if you know you have them and we'll treat them accordingly — if they're worn out, the honest answer is a replacement liner from the manufacturer.

Before we arrive

• Switch the oven off well before the appointment so it's completely cold.
• Take out anything stored inside — baking trays you'd like cleaned can stay in.
• Clear a little floor and worktop space next to the oven.
• If you have pets, keep them in another room while parts are being moved.
