Gas hobs
Cast-iron pan supports and burner parts come off and are cleaned separately, then the hob plate is degreased. Burner parts are dried thoroughly before going back so they light evenly. We don't touch gas connections or valves.
Ceramic and induction glass
Burnt sugar and boiled-over milk are the usual culprits. A proper glass scraper held at the right angle removes them without scratching; scouring pads, by contrast, leave permanent swirl marks. Some marks that look like stains are actually etching in the glass and won't come out — we'll point those out honestly.
Hob cleaning questions
Can I book a hob clean on its own?
Yes, hob-only bookings are welcome. Many people also add the hob to an oven clean so the whole cooker is done in one visit.
Will it remove scratches from my induction hob?
No cleaning can remove scratches or etching in the glass, but removing the burnt-on film around them usually makes a big visual difference.
